The execution and commissioning of this project was led by our engineering team, aided by Inmarsat support.

The objective of this project was a full install of an Inmarsat Intellian GX60 & FleetBroadband satlink, to provide the ship with data and telephone services.

The main tasks we accomplished were:
       - Planification of the installation. Physical modification of the ship's equipment to accommodate the new antennas.
       - 2 radar units had to be raised & lowered, several VHF and HF antennas relocated.
       - Design and manufacturing of the new pedestals for the GX60 and FBB antennas; made with aluminum according to Inmarsat standards.
       - Installation of the dishes and cabling from above deck to the BDE rack.
       - Deck equipment had to be rearranged into the bridge.
       - Full network overhaul of the ship.
       - Power supply was improved, with a dedicated AC line and UPS on the bridge.
