This product is a programmable in-line serial analyzer and operator. It's inception came from the need to modify nMea sentences to be compatible with listening devices.
Sometimes newer equipment doesn't provide configuration options to accept the installed sources, and a solution that adapts the installed sources to the listening device is needed.

The board has 2 RS232 inputs , 4 RS232 outputs and 2 RS485 ports. These are programmable with different combinations, being possible to transmit specific info to each port.

This interface can be programmed for a number of different tasks:
       - Modifying specific sentences to match the expected ones, for example $xxHDM to $xxHDT
       - Filter unwanted sentences
       - Modify a field to correct for deviation (ex. correct for an offset in heading)
       - Generate a new sentence from data gathered/combined from other sentences
       - Simulate any source, like GPS, Gyrocompass, Echosounder, AIS, etc.
